I’m feeling a little out of sorts these days. Things are changing, and I’m not clear where they’re going. My kids are growing up, my book is entering a new phase, and summer is here with all its freedom and unpredictability.
So I settled on pretty flowers for my July spread. Their simplicity makes me feel a little more grounded. I was inspired by @bujoandcookies on Instagram. I borrowed heavily from the color palette and simple flowers of her April 2020 cover. I was also inspired by @bujo.by.frence’s July 2019 cover, with its wavy swath of color.
Cover
Combining these influences, I created a swath of flowers for my cover. To the right of the title is my reflection page, including a monthly log.
Projects
My projects page, where I list everything I’m hoping to accomplish during the month, is decorated with more wavy swaths of flowers. At the bottom, I’ve included my habit tracker.
Calendar
I used the same design motif for the calendar. Three flowers line up to mark the title on the left of the calendar, which uses vertical weeks.
Weekly
This weekly keeps things simple, using the center color of the flowers to highlight each day’s number, and a stretched cursive for the days of the week.
How’s your summer shaping up?
Good gravy that month went fast! Beautiful layout. It’s incredible to think of that all filled in now. Can’t wait to see your August spread!
Thank you :o) July was fast, wasn’t it?
